Derry City and Strabane District Council are eager to gain the opinion from the local community and stakeholders on the Local Development Plan, which is currently in the process of being produced. The council have provided a list of planning topics to determine the issues which need to be addressed by the Local Development Plan.

Topics that are currently up for discussion are highlighted in the table and the link below.

Future topics to be discussed include, Built & Natural Environment, Countryside & Landscape Assessment, Housing In Settlement Hierarchy, Sustainability Scoping, Urban Design And Townscape, Transport And Movement, Open Space And Recreation, Tourism, Renewable Energy, SA Update, Settlement Evaluation, Broad Land Allocation, Public Utilities, Community Infrastructure, Coastal Development, Minerals and Waste Management.
