MKA Planning are a planning consultancy providing expert advice on planning applications, appeals and enforcement. We operate at the ‘cutting edge’ of planning policy and practice, identifying policy loopholes, ambiguities, lacuna’s and appeal precedents which can be used to assist our Clients’ case. We have fought and won more planning appeals in Northern Ireland than anyone else indicating our expertise and experience.
We are looking to recruit a Graduate Planner for a 1 year fixed term contract.
You will be supporting the team in planning tasks including but not limited to research, policy assessment and applications / appeals as well as the assisting of progressing planning applications for energy schemes. You will also provide ‘front of house’ services for visitors to the Practice.
The successful candidate will have between 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role with experience of the NI planning system and be working towards attaining RTPI membership through the APC Structured Training Scheme. The candidate should also have good literacy in IT as well as excellent communication skills and accuracy. A personable and professional approach is required, as this will involve liaising with our clients.
Preferred candidates will have a degree in Environmental / Town Planning or relevant subject from a UK University from within the last 2 years. A full clean driving licence is desirable.
