Planning permission was originally granted in 2008 for the conversion and alterations to existing vernacular building (derelict dwelling) and reinstatement to two-storey dwelling (in accordance with Policy BH15 of PPS 6).
MKA Planning where able to successfully highlight in a new application for replacement dwelling to the Council that the replacement dwelling clearly met all the requirements of Policy CTY3- Replacement Dwellings as the dwelling to be replaced exhibited all the essential characteristics of a dwelling and all the extended sheltered walls were substantially intact.
A stand alone new replacement dwelling has been approved with the original building retained as ancillary accommodation.
The proposed replacement dwelling is sited within the established curtilage of the existing building and will result in demonstrable landscape, heritage, access and amenity benefits.
