MKA Planning are carrying out a community consultation event on behalf of the Hillvalley Properties for a proposed demolition of existing vacant buildings at 66, 68 & 70 Duke Street and construction of new residential buildings 1 + 2 to include individual entrances from Duke Street and a shared entrance to Spencer Road.
Building 1 will house 31 units which consist of 2 no. accessible units, 22 no. 2 bedroom units and 7 no. 1 bedroom units.
Building 2 will house 32 units consisting of 3 no. accessible units, 17 no. 2 bedroom units and 12 no. 1 bedroom units.
Building 3 will house 8 refurbished units within the existing upper floors at adjacent building and consist of 4 no. 2 bedroom units and 4 no. 1 bedroom units. External works include a new entrance from Spencer Road which will be landscaped and provide access to the proposed scheme, with further works for hard & soft landscaping to the new courtyard providing access to central bin store, formal garden, soft planting, sensory garden path & soft play area for residents use at no.’s 66, 68 and 70 – 74 Duke Street, Waterside, Derry/L’Derry.

Comments made at the community consultations are not direct representations to Council but if the developer submits a planning application there will be an opportunity to make direct representations to the Council at that stage. If the developer submits a planning application a community consultation report incorporating all representations made will be submitted to the Council as part of the proposal.
